COVID-19 Update as of November 28: 3,225 New Cases from Examination of 63,910 Specimens

JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 63,910 specimens were examined with the result that there were 3,225 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 6,653,469 people and active cases fell by 2,698 to 59,883 cases", said the data from the COVID-19 Task Force, Monday, November 28.

The number of recovered cases today increased by 5,864 people, bringing the total to 6,435,851 recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 59 cases and a total of 159,735 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 1,296 cases and a total of 1,512,530 cases. Followed by West Java with 695 new cases with a total of 1,216,627 cases. Banten 408 new cases and a total of 358,242 cases. East Java has 233 new cases and a total of 630,625 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 2,609 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 783 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 668 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 538 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 112,326,546.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 20.86 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 3,631 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 205,409,201 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 174,119,714 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 66,624,569 people and the fourth dose was 795,294 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
