MetaMask Adds Buy Crypto Direct From Account Feature
JAKARTA – The leading Ethereum-based crypto wallet, MetaMask developed by Consensys recently launched a new feature, namely an instant bank-to-crypto transfer model. That can be done thanks to Sardine's automated clearing house (ACH). That way, crypto purchases can be made directly from fiat to crypto.
The information was conveyed by Consensys in a blog post on October 11. Consensys explains ETH wallet MetaMask has added bank-to-crypto transfers through the company ACH Sardine. “With Sardine's new instant ACH integration, you can buy crypto instantly with no settlement delays,” wrote Consensys.
“Instant ACH allows orders to be completed in minutes instead of days like standard ACH orders, and works on holidays, unlike regular ACH,” the announcement added.
The newly added feature through Sardine allows Metamask users to transfer fiat money to cryptocurrency with a maximum limit of 3 thousand US dollars per day. Users can also spend up to 5 thousand dollars per week or 25 thousand dollars per month to buy more than 30 crypto assets.

The Consensys blog post says that Sardine not only offers fast ACH services, but also provides “a robust compliance and fraud prevention infrastructure.” Furthermore, Consensys explained that Sardine has been used by various crypto companies including Autograph Tom Brady, crypto exchange FTX, and MoonPay.
“The company is a leader in real-time fraud detection and enables users to move money faster and more securely through ACH-to-crypto solutions,” the Consensys announcement reads. “Instead of waiting for money to come into your account to use it, Sardine sends money instantly, so you shouldn't expect any delays.”
In addition to the announcement via the blog, Consensys also conveyed the information through its official Twitter account. Users can use these features safely and easily. This is a direct exchange (swap) model from money to crypto. That way, users no longer need to deposit or top up funds to the exchange as is the case with a centralized crypto exchange or CEX.
