WOODZ Contract With Yuehua Ends, Will Join The IU Agency

JAKARTA - Singer WOODZ reportedly terminated his exclusive contract with the Yuehua Entertainment agency. This statement was later confirmed by the agency.

"We would like to inform that our exclusive contract with WOODZ is due to expire at the end of October," Yuehua said today, Wednesday, October 5.

We've seen his music passion since he debuted with the group to become a solo artist. It was a very beautiful time when WOODZ developed into a talented artist through various challenges," they explained.

In the future, the agency will support every choice of WOODZ both music and producer.

"We thank WOODZ for the long journey together and we will support his new dream," the agency said.

On the same day, WOODZ was rumored to join EDAM Entertainment. This agency only oversees two artists, namely IU and Shin Se Kyung.

Quoting StarNews, WOODZ will officially join on October 19, after the contract with Yuehua expires. However, so far both WOODZ and EDAM have not made a statement.

WOODZ or Cho Seung Youn started his career as a member of the UNIQ group in 2014. Then he briefly participated in the Show Me the Money and Produce X 101 competitions.

He has also written many songs for musicians such as Super Junior D&E, Babylon, ONF, Ravi, Eunha, Primary, and many others.

WOODZ is also increasingly popular after finishing fifth at Produce X 101 and becoming a member of X1. After the group disbanded, he was more active in solo singing by releasing various new albums, Colorful Trauma.
