South Kalimantan Gold Mining Update: 6 Out Of 12 Victims Found Died, 5 Others Continued To Be Searched

SOUTH KALIMANTAN - Basarnas is still looking for five victims of a gold mine landslide in Buluh Kuning Village, Sungai Durian District, Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan Province (Kalsel).

"From the data reported, there were 17 victims, 12 people have been found. Six survived and six died," said Head of Banjarmasin Basarnas, Al Amrad, in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, as quoted from Antara, Wednesday, September 28.

The identities of the five victims who are still being searched are Ravi (28), Bubul (40), Parin (25), Sahdi (30), and Amut (40).

Meanwhile, the survivors who are now being treated at the Banian Health Center and Marina Hospital, namely Hamdah, Murdiah, Macedonia, Anang Suryadi, Samsul, and Arifin.

Meanwhile, six victims died named Wahid, Padliannoor alias Amang Bali, Inal, Salman, Imis, and Norjanah.

Amrad admitted that access to the location was faced with a difficult field because he could not use a four-wheeled vehicle.

The joint SAR team also had to walk for about five to six hours or use a special two-wheeled vehicle with special specifications of approximately two to three hours.

It is known that the landslide disaster in the people's gold mine occurred on Monday, September 26 at around 23.00 WITA.

To maximize the search for victims, Basarnas dispatched two teams from the Kotabaru SAR Post and the Batulicin SAR Alert Unit to join the Kotabaru BPBD assisted by the TNI-Polri.
