Optimizing PBB Realization, Central Lombok DPRD Encourages Local Government To Increase NJOP
JAKARTA - The DPRD of Central Lombok Regency views that the local government needs to increase the sale value of tax objects (NJOP) in order to optimize the realization of land and building taxes (PBB) and BPHTB payments.
"This is because the Central Lombok Regency Government has never raised the NJOP price," said Central Lombok DPRD member Suhaimi in Praya, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Wednesday, September 21.
The increase in NJOP has been discussed in the Asset Special Committee (Pansus) because the NJPO in this area is still at IDR 6,000.00 per 10 square meters, while the sale and purchase price of land continues to increase every year. For example, the price of land along the Lombok Airport Bypass road as well as in tourist attractions.
"This means that the NJOP must be readjusted according to the zone or region so that the tax from the United Nations can increase," he said.
Suhaimi said the district had raised the NJOP twice. This means that the local government is more serious in increasing the realization of local revenue (PAD).
Therefore, his party hopes that the local district government can increase the NJOP in order to increase PAD.

He said that the largest PAD comes from PBB, BPHTB, and motor vehicle taxes, so the three sectors must be managed properly so that the realization of PAD in Central Lombok can increase.
"If other PAD sectors can be supporters, including entertainment taxes that can move the community's economy," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda) of Central Lombok Regency, Jalaludin, said the local government had formed a tax collection team in order to increase the realization of PAD 2022.
Central Lombok's PAD target in 2022 is IDR 315 billion and has been realized until mid-year IDR 81 billion or 26 percent of the total PAD target.
"The PBB tax target is IDR 22 billion, only 50 percent has been achieved. For the PAD target from hotel taxes, IDR 26 billion, while the realization is IDR 5 billion and the restaurant tax is IDR 16 billion, which is IDR 4.5 billion," he concluded.
