Diguyur Rain Deras, 6 Roads In Jakarta Soak Floods
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that 6 roads in West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and East Jakarta were flooded after raining since the afternoon.
"There are currently six inundated roads in the DKI Jakarta area", said Head of the DKI BPBD Data and Information Center, Insaf, in his statement, Friday, September 9.
In West Jakarta, flooding inundated one road segment, namely the West Outer Ring Road, North Kembangan Village, Kembangan District, with a water level of 20 centimeters.
In Central Jakarta, floods inundated four roads, namely Melati Suci Street, Tanah Abang, with a water level of 20 centimeters; the road in front of Tanah Abang Market with a water level of 20 centimeters; H. Samanudi Street, Sawah Besar with a water level of 20 centimeters; and Jalan Budi Kemuliaan, Gambir with a water level of 20 centimeters.
Then in East Jakarta, floods inundated one road segment, namely Pisangan Baru Utara Street, Matraman, with a water level of 20 centimeters.
Insaf explained that the inundation condition is currently being handled by several relevant DKI regional work units (SKPD), namely BPBD, DSDA, Firefighters, and PPSU Kelurahan.
"The inundation is targeted to subside in a short time", said Insaf.
Meanwhile, according to the BPBD report on the Twitter account @BPBDJakarta, the Fish Market Sluice is currently on Alert 2. Residents in Kamal Muara, Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, Pluit, Ancol, Kamal, Marunda, Cilincing and Kalibaru are asked to be on the lookout for flooding.

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that almost all areas of Jakarta will still experience rain until the evening.
