Minister Hadi Tjahjanto Uses Blockchain Technology To Prevent Land Mafia
JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning Hadi Tjahjanto continues to perfect the digitization of land services in order to prevent land mafias.
"Digitalization of land services is a strategic program from the Ministry of ATR/BPN and I continue to make it a priority. And then, at this time we will also improve its capabilities with the latest technology such as blockchain, for the implementation of electronic certificates," said Hadi Tjahjanto in a written statement in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 19, reported by Antara.
Hadi Tjahjanto explained that a number of improvements continue to be made before digital land services are fully implemented. Improvements are made to close the gaps that have been exploited by the land mafia.
"The land mafia will not be able to enter with the digital system that I will build, so trust will continue to increase until people can calm down, people have confidence that their land will not be lost," he said.
However, Hadi Tjahjanto emphasized that even though digital services have been realized later, the Ministry of ATR/BPN will still carry out manual checks to minimize errors.
"We have to double check, the first check is a robotic process that is entered into a system, when it comes out we have to physically check again, is it true or not, the extent is so, on whose behalf, as desired," he explained.

The digitization of land services is also continuously disseminated to all BPN Regional Offices and Land Offices spread throughout Indonesia.
Hadi Tjahjanto hopes that every land person in the Ministry of ATR/BPN is able to run, develop, and maximize these digital land services.
The digitization of land services is expected to help complete the three main instructions of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo to the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN, namely registering all land in Indonesia, resolving land conflicts, and supporting the development of the State Capital (IKN).
