Singapore Open 2022 Results: Great! Apriyani/Fadia And Leo/Daniel Qualified, Indonesia Sends 8 Representatives To The Quarter Finals
JAKARTA - The women's doubles pair Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti made an easy move to the quarter-finals of the Singapore Open 2022. The Malaysia Open 2022 champion qualified thanks to a 21-13 and 21-11 straight set victory over seventh-seeded German representatives Linda Efler/Isabel Lohau in Singapore. Indoor Stadium on Thursday, July 14.
Apri/Fadia's victory made Indonesia send two women's doubles representatives to the last eight. Previously, the ticket had been obtained by Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi.
Moments after Apri/Fadia confirmed themselves to qualify, the men's doubles Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin also locked a place in the top eight after eliminating the Chinese representatives, Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang.
The passing of these two new representatives made Indonesia place a total of eight representatives in the final quarter. That means there are four representatives who were eliminated from the 12 representatives who fought in the second round.
The other six representatives who qualified each were from the men's singles, women's singles, and men's doubles. The last sector was dominant by sending as many as four representatives.
The four representatives who failed to continue their move were Hafiz Faizal/Serena Kani, Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, Jonatan Christie, and Tommy Sugiarto.
