Erick Thohir Ensures SOEs Will Guard The Increase In MSME Permits
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir emphasized the commitment of SOEs in collaborating with many parties in supporting the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Especially in accessing capital to Himbara banking.
Erick said that this synergy has been shown between the Ministry of SOEs, the Ministry of Investment and the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises. The three agreed to link MSME data in each ministry.
He admitted that he would integrate 12.7 million female customers in the PNM Mekaar program and MSME customers from Himbara banks into the Online Single Submission (OSS) system.
This is in line with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi)'s desire for MSMEs to obtain business permits and be able to access capital to banks.
For your information, the business registration number (NIB) issued from August 2021 to July 2022 has reached 1.5 million.
Before OSS, only 2.000 permits were issued per day. However, now it is at 7.000-8.000 per day.
"God willing, if we can combine this, from 1.5 million (NIB) to 10 million (NIB) it is not impossible going forward," he said in an official statement, quoted Thursday, July 14.
On that occasion, Erick also encouraged himbara banks to increase the absorption of KUR access for MSMEs.
This is because the government has provided IDR 373 trillion for the KUR program this year, but only 50 percent has been absorbed.
"We were asked by the president if we could reach 30 percent of funding for MSMEs in the banking sector by 2024. IDR 373 trillion is something extraordinary, where the President of the government provides a 13 percent subsidy so that three percent is included in the KUR package," said Erick.
Erick said that the government would also conduct periodic evaluations in the provision of KUR subsidies. This will be adjusted to the state finances.

Furthermore, Erick said, three ministries, namely the Kemenkop UKM, the Ministry of SOEs, and the Ministry of Investment had the task of increasing the absorption of the remaining 50 percent KUR.
Erick assessed that the absorption of KUR requires collaboration between lines, not only between ministries, but also local governments.
"There is still 50 percent of this amount that must be absorbed, of course, we hope that local governments, governors, regents, are open to cooperating with us, because it is impossible for us to be successful if we don't work together," said Erick.
