Played As Gorr In Thor, Christian Bale: I Can't Compete With Chris Hemsworth

JAKARTA - Christian Bale admits he can't compete with Chris Hemsworth. Even though he was the villain in Thor: Love and Thunder, he felt he had lost physically.

"There's no point in exercising because you can't compete with Chris (Hemsworth)," Christian Bale told The Wrap.

Bale said director Taika Waititi had given him a comic containing the appearance of Gorr the God Butcher, the character he played in the film. But Gorr's costume was g-string panties.

“I saw (the comic) and said, 'No one wants to see me like that. He also looks very muscular in the comics," said Bale.

"And I'm working on another film where I look skinny. Nobody wants to see me with the G-string," he explained.

Thor's character, played by Chris Hemsworth, is known for his stocky posture. This is related to its power which can be seen through Thor: Love and Thunder.

On the other hand, Christian Bale's performance as Gorr won praise from Jane Foster's Natalie Portman. Even though he doesn't have a body as big as the comic version, Bale manages to look his best.

"He has a very, very scary appearance and of course his acting is amazing," said Natalie Portman.

In this sequel, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) faces off against Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), an intergalactic assassin who threatens Asgard. He travels through time in search of a god and his whereabouts are discovered by Thor after he bequeathed Asgard to a new ruler.

The movie Thor: Love and Thunder can still be seen in theaters.
