Humerus Operation Is Successful, When Will Marc Marquez Return To Racing? This Is The Honda Team Manager's Answer

JAKARTA - Repsol Honda racer, Marc Marquez, has undergone surgery on his right arm humerus in the United States, some time ago. Currently, Marquez is in Spain to recover.

Honda Racing Team manager Alberto Puig said Marquez will undergo a slow recovery process and follow the instructions of the team doctor.

"We are very happy that he is back home. Now he can start thinking about recovering his right humerus," said Puig in the official MotoGP website.

So can Marquez return to racing before the 2022 MotoGP ends? Puig did not give an exact date. He also did not want to force the champion to immediately return to racing.

He said the team of doctors had said that Marquez had to go through the recovery process step by step. The six-time MotoGP world champion will be monitored by Dr Samuel Antuna while in Spain.

"The doctor said Marc needs to go through everything step by step with regular checks," said Puig.

"They will evaluate the situation approximately every two to three weeks. The priority now is healing the bone and avoiding major complications."

Marc Marquez has been absent from the race since the Barcelona MotoGP, last weekend. His position is occupied by test rider, Stefan Bradl.
