45 Percent Of Permanent Housing Built By PUPR Has Been Occupied By Central Sulawesi Earthquake Victims
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has completed 45 percent of permanent housing (huntap) to replace the houses of the victims of the Central Sulawesi earthquake which were damaged by the disaster.
A total of 3,463 units of the total planned construction of 7,682 shelters have also been inhabited by victims of the earthquake and liquefaction that occurred on September 18, 2018.
Secretary-General of the Ministry of PUPR Mohammad Zainal Fatah said the government was still trying to accelerate the completion of the building.
"To accelerate the completion of the temporary shelter construction and settlement infrastructure, we expect local government support to be able to resolve land problems by the end of June 2022, so that the target for completing all physical activities by December 2023 can be achieved," said Zainal in his statement, Monday, May 23.
Zainal said that the temporary shelter construction was carried out in three regencies/cities, namely Palu City, Sigi Regency, and Donggala Regency.

In Palu City, the PUPR Ministry built 230 shelter units in the Duyu area, 1,056 units in the Tondo 2 area, 1,056 units in the Talise area, 663 units in the Petobo area, 52 units in the Balaroa Satellite Huntap area, 45 units in the Huntap Mandiri area of Palu City. 1, 233 units in the Huntap Mandiri area of Palu City Phase 2A, and 45 units in the Lere area Phase 2C.
Then, in Sigi Regency, in the Pombewe area, 400 units of temporary shelters were built, Phase 1B 205 units, and Phase 2A 40 units. In Huntap Satellite Phase 1B in Sheeta and Salua there are 125 units. The construction of Huntap Phase 2B in Bangga, North Sibalaya, and South Sibaya are 472 units which are still in the preparation stage.
"In Donggala Regency, 622 units of satellite huntap and basic infrastructure for settlements Phase 1B have been completed. Phase 2A satellite hunting and basic infrastructure for settlements are 377 units and Phase 2B as many as 135 units are still in the preparation stage," he explained.
