Success With 4 Projects, Andrew Garfield Wants To Take A Break From Acting
JAKARTA - Andrew Garfield expressed his desire to take a break from acting. He admitted that he wanted to step back from the spotlight for a while and rest while preparing himself.
“I am so excited and excited to be quiet and take a moment,” Andrew Garfield told PEOPLE.
Over the past year, Andrew Garfield has appeared in four film projects and a series. The films he starred in were The Eyes of Tammy Faye and Tick,Tick…Boom! Which earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
In addition, Garfield also starred in the series Under the Banner of Heaven and stole attention through his brief appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
"It feels very important. After giving energy to something I love, but I have to fill it again so I don't feel competitive in any way."
Garfield said he was inspired by Simone Biles and Kendrick Lamar. The musician he mentioned is known to be releasing an album after several years of hiatus.
“Kendrick Lamar who hasn't released an album in a long time and will release in mid-May. I admire him who can resist the temptation to always be on top. Someone who can get to their rhythm and beat their own drums,” explains Andrew Garfield.
He hopes that as an actor, he can feel authentic with what he does. He himself had planned what he would do during his break.
“I wish I could go on vacation. Now being on a plane feels like too much. I want to relax and not think and watch other people's movies and hear music with friends and eat burgers. Like any other human being," said Andrew Garfield.
