Due To Aphasia, Bruce Willis Retired From Acting
JAKARTA - Actor Bruce Willis has officially resigned from the world of acting that made his name. The family announced on the evening of Wednesday, March 30, in a joint statement on social media.
They revealed that Bruce Willis had Aphasia, a condition that makes it difficult for a person to communicate such as speaking, writing, and understanding language both verbally and in writing.
According to the Mayo Clinic, aphasia is often caused by an injury to the head or if a person has had a stroke.
"To Bruce's great supporters, as a family, we would like to share the news that Bruce is experiencing several health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia which is impacting his cognitive abilities," the family wrote.
"Therefore, it is with great deliberation that Bruce will be stepping down from a career that has meant so much to him. This is a challenging situation for our family and we thank you for your love and support."
Currently, Bruce Willis has several unreleased film projects, one of which is Paradise City where he meets John Travolta.
On the other hand, the announcement of Bruce Willis' departure was also shared by his wife Emma Heming, his ex-wife Demi Moore and their son Rumer.
