Axiom Space, NASA, And SpaceX Will Launch Axiom 3 Mission

JAKARTA The Axiom 3 (Ax-3) mission will soon be held. The four crew members from various space agencies will be sent to the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday, January 17.

As planned, the four crew members consisting of commanders, pilots, and specials of this mission will depart using SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft. Driven by Falcon 9, Dragon will take off from Launch Complex 39A, Florida.

The four crew members on this mission are Commander Michael L!pez-Alegrmen from the Ax-1 mission, Pilot Walter Villadei from the Italian Air Force, Mission Specialist Alper Gezeravcris from the Turkish Air Force, and Mission Specialist Marcus Wandt from the European Space Agency (ESA).

Ax-3 is a collaboration mission between Axiom Space, the United States Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and SpaceX. This commercial mission has quite an important task, namely redefine the path to Low Earth Orbit (LEO).

In addition, the four astronauts riding the Dragon plane will map the route to Axiom Station, the world's first commercial space station. After completing mapping the track, the crew of this aircraft will dock on the ISS on Friday, January 19.

While on the ISS, astronauts will continue to work. From Axiom Space's official release, the crew will be in the ISS laboratory for 14 days to carry out various missions consisting of, Microgravity Research, Technological demonstrations, and outreach events.

Before the launch is held, NASA will hold a pre-launch press conference on Tuesday, January 16. This meeting will discuss the results of the Launch Readiness Review as well as evaluate the hardware of the Ax-3 mission.

The event will include Axiom Space's Chief of Integration and Mission Operations, Derek Hassmann, SpaceX's Senior Director of the SpaceX Space Aviation Program Benji Reed, and the United States Space Force (USSF) Launch Weather Officer, Arnena Moses.
