JAKARTA - Zoom video conferencing service finally released the Immersive View feature. Previously this feature was introduced at the Zoomtopia 2020 event. This feature allows users to experience a real meeting-like experience in a room.

Quoted from the official Zoom blog, the Immersive View feature can change the appearance of the Speaker or Gallery View so that all participants can be displayed at once on one screen.

The user can even become a picture hanging on the wall in a virtual art gallery. When Zoom originally announced the feature last year, it flaunted a classroom setting, where everyone seemed to be seated in their own seat.

According to Zoom's report, the maximum number of participants that can be accommodated is 25 people. The Immersive View feature is now available on Windows and macOS desktops, for users with Free or Pro accounts.

Video calling services have become a necessity over the past year, with Zoom being the leader in this area of technology.

Since then, many have turned to Zoom and other video calling apps for work meetings, classes and simply to keep in touch with friends and family.

How to Use the Immersive View Feature

First, users must ensure that they have the latest Zoom version (5.6.3 or higher) to actually view the meeting with the Immersive View feature.

To activate the feature, go to account settings and then click on the Meetings tab before clicking on Immersive View. For moderators, starting an Immersive View background requires a quick click on View in the top right corner followed by another click on Immersive View.

Then, the moderator will have the option to place the person where they want it or choose to have Zoom position them automatically.

Moderators can also resize participants by clicking on the video, then clicking and dragging the blue box that appears to the desired size.

When everyone is measured and placed correctly, simply select a background, and click Start to start an immersive chat experience. Zoom does not recommend using Immersive View with more than 25 participants.
