So The Location Of Monitoring The Hilal Of Ramadan, Visits To The Peak Of Monas Closed Early

This is due to the observation of the hilal for the month of Ramadan which was carried out at the Monas monument. The Monas Peak is closed at 12.00 WIB.

"In connection with the monitoring of the hilal by the hilal team and the Regional Office of the DKI Jakarta Ministry of Religion to determine Ramadan 2025, the visit of the top courtyard today is closed early," wrote a statement to the national monument's Instagram account, quoted Friday, February 28.

UPK Monas asked for public understanding of the closing of the peak of the Monas monument earlier today.

"We apologize for the inconvenience," he continued.

The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) will hold an Isbat Session to determine the beginning of Ramadan 1446 Hijri on Friday, February 28, 2025. This trial is an important moment for Muslims in Indonesia because it determines when fasting will start.

The Director General of Islamic Community Guidance at the Ministry of Religion, Abu Rokhmad, explained that the isbat session will be held at the HM Rasjidi Auditorium, Ministry of Religion, Central Jakarta.

As in previous years, this trial will involve various parties, including representatives of Islamic community organizations, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), Falak experts, as well as representatives from the House of Representatives (DPR) and the Supreme Court.

Sidang isbat akan melalui tiga tahapan utama. Pertama, pemaparan data posisi hilal berdasarkan perhitungan astronomi atau hisab. Data ini akan memberikan gambaran awal mengenai kemungkinan hilal terlihat pada hari tersebut.

Kedua, verifikasi hasil rukyatul hilal yang dilakukan di berbagai titik pemantauan di seluruh Indonesia. Proses ini bertujuan untuk memastikan secara langsung apakah hilal benar-benar terlihat di wilayah Indonesia.

Third, deliberation and decision-making which will be officially submitted to the public.
