JAKARTA Apple submitted a request to India's antitrust agency to stop investigative reports from one of the non-profits for some time. However, this request was rejected.

According to a Reuters report, India's Business Competition Commission (CCI) has not stopped the investigation conducted by the Together We Fight Society (TWFS). Instead, CCI asked the agency to continue its investigation and prove Apple violations.

In August, Apple's investigative report was ordered to be withdrawn due to the iPhone developer's request. Apple said that CCI had revealed trade secrets to competitors in cases that had occurred since 2021.

CCI sided with Apple at the time by asking all parties to return the investigation report and destroy all copies of its report. After that, the antitrust agency published a new report.

In the latest antitrust investigation case, CCI is not in favor of Apple. The company is considered to have accused TWFS, the main plaintiff in the antitrust case, of not complying with the directives and not showing that the old report had been culled.

On November 13, Apple stated that TWFS must be dealt with for not complying with CCI's orders. The technology company also asked CCI to withhold revised reports as a form of punishment for the violations TWFS committed.

"Apple's request to suspend investigative reports is deemed unsustainable," CCI said in the order. After this report was issued, both Apple and TWFS had not yet responded.
