MRT Jakarta Now Receives Ticket Payments With GoPay

JAKARTA - To make it easier for customers, PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) has re-launched the train ticket payment service using the GoPay digital wallet in the MyMRTJ application.

"With the joining of GoPay, it will further add new options for payment methods," said Director of Business Development of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) Farchad Mahfud as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, December 26.

He said that through this collaboration, the use of digital wallet payments has returned to be available as a new ticket payment option in the MyMRTJ application.

According to him, the return of the digital wallet is to make it easier for Jakarta MRT customers, whose daily mobility uses MRT public transportation.

Farchad said that this collaboration was in line with the transformation and digitization of payments in the MRT Jakarta ecosystem.

"We welcome this collaboration. We hope that it will make it easier for customers," he said.

Meanwhile, Kelvin's Head of GoPay Wallet Timothy explained that this collaboration is a commitment in presenting payment solutions that can meet various users' financial needs, including in the public transportation sector.

"We hope that the presence of GoPay in the MRT Jakarta application can make it easier for users to travel by public transportation," he said.

As part of this collaboration, GoPay will provide a special offer promo for MRT Jakarta customers, who make ticket purchase transactions on the MyMRTJ application and have linked the account to the application.

The promo is that until January 31, 2025, customers' first trip can enjoy promos riding the free MRT with a 100 percent return (cashback) mechanism of up to Rp. 14,000.
