JAKARTA - YouTube is developing an AI-based feature, Dream Track, which allows creators to change mood or song genres in short video clip Shorts.

In recent experiments, selected creators can use AI to "change style" the song for 30 seconds with a description as desired. YouTube has teamed up with certain music partners to provide a number of official songs that can be accessed by creators.

This process allows creators to choose eligible songs and describe the desired changes to AI, which will then make a remix according to the description. Remixed clips will be used in Shorts format, with recognition of original songs as well as notification that the music has been generated or remixed by AI.

This feature is designed to maintain the original song's "voal essence and lyrics", although the genre and mood can be changed. However, the list of songs that can be used in this experiment has not been disclosed by YouTube.

The Dream Track feature was originally introduced as a tool to create music that mimics the style of a favorite artist, including adjusting instruments and vocals. Although innovative, this feature raises concerns about the protection of artist copyright.

In addition, YouTube also features Veo, a software from DeepMind, to create an AI background or a six-second visual concept for Shorts, helping users fill the gap in their short video.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
