JAKARTA SpaceX successfully launched a cargo mission to support NASA's expedition crew on the Space Station (ISS). The cargo containing the experimental equipment was delivered by the Dragon aircraft.

As usual, SpaceX uses a Falcon 9 rocket to carry Dragon aircraft into space. This spacecraft took off from the 39A Launch Complex at the Kennedy Space Center, NASA's facility, which is located in Florida.

NASA did not explain how much of the payload was brought to the space station, but the payload weighs more than 2,762 kilograms. The launch of this mission went smoothly and the plane docked in the Harmony module on November 5 at around 22.15 WIB.

This payload delivery needs to be done to support astronauts who are conducting scientific experiments and research. The aircraft carries crew equipment, food supplies, hardware for stations, and the latest experimental materials.

"Dragon delivered several new experiments, including the Coronal Diagnostic Experiment, to examine the solar wind and how the wind formed," NASA said through its official website.

One of the experimental materials delivered is the Space Moss. These plants will be used to observe the combined effects of cosmic radiation and microgravity. Astronauts will also test cold metal welding in microgravity.

"Such research is beneficial for mankind and becomes the basis for future human exploration through NASA's Artemis campaign, which will send astronauts to the Moon to prepare for future expeditions to Mars," NASA explained.

Dragon aircraft delivering equipment and supplies for these astronauts will stay on the ISS until next December. On his return to Earth, the plane will land on Florida's offshore coast.
