JAKARTA - Google TV Streamer, which is scheduled for release on September 24, 2024 for international markets, has begun to be seen on store shelves in various countries. Although in the United States this device can only be ordered through pre-order, some consumers in the UK, Germany, and Canada have reportedly managed to buy, bring home, and install it early.

Over the weekend, reports emerged from users in those countries who discovered Google TV Streamers in local stores. In fact, some have shared unboxing videos showing this device in detail.

In the Google TV Streamer box, there are four main components: the streamer device itself, Voice Remote, USB adapter, and 1.8-meter-long USB-C to USB-A cable. Each component is placed inside a separate trajectory, with two outer trajectories designed to fold inward, making it suitable for a compact packaging design without an outer arm, different from other Google products such as Pixel 9 and Pixel Watch 3.

This packaging also follows Google's design guide for environmentally friendly packaging, which uses thin fiber materials with good flexibility and tearing resistance. Removable tray design minimizes the use of materials and ensures the product remains safe when removed from the box.

One of the buyers reported that the device has a storage capacity of about 24 GB out of a total of 32 GB, with a software update for the first day available as soon as the device is turned on.

For those in the UK, this device can even be ordered through third-party retailers, although the new global official launch will begin on September 24.
