JAKARTA Many iPhone users are already waiting for the launch of iOS 18.1 because this operating system (OS) includes Apple Intelligence. However, when the beta was released to the public, this OS brought problems.

Based on a 9to5mac report, several iOS 18.1 beta users said that Siri stopped working on their devices. Apple's virtual assistant appeared in the notification bar with the caption, "Siri is Not Available.

Reports about Siri not functioning have been circulating on platform X, formerly known as Twitter, since 12 September. Some users say that this problem arises on the iPhone running iOS 18.1 beta 3.

Users are aware of this problem when they want to use Siri. When activated, Siri displays a message stating that 'Data for using Siri is being downloaded' or 'Connect to Wi-Fi to complete Siri downloading'.

Meanwhile, in Siri's settings, the system explains that the virtual assistant is trying to download Apple Intelligence, an innovation containing various Artificial Intelligence (AI) features. Even though trying, downloading still didn't work.

This problem is bound to happen because it's a bug and it's not surprising. The reason is, the beta version is different from a more stable system so some unexpected problems often arise in it. Even so, this problem needs to be addressed by Apple.

This bug only annoys a few iOS 18.1 beta 3 users and it looks like this problem is still happening. Affected users have tried to turn off the phone to fix Siri, but the virtual assistant is still not working.
