Ahead of the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, the Secretary General of the Prabowo Supporting Party strengthens political communication

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the DPP Gerindra Party Sugiono along with the secretaries general of political parties supporting the government of President Prabowo Subianto held a meeting ahead of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, Thursday, August 14.

The meeting which took place in a dinner atmosphere was an event for socializing and at the same time a momentum to strengthen communication between political parties supporting the government. The party secretaries also reflected on the journey of almost two years of the government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Present at the meeting were Deputy General Chair of the DPP of the Gerindra Party, Prasetyo Hadi, and the secretaries-general of political parties in the coalition, both those who have representatives in parliament and non-parliamentary.

Sugiono said the meeting was an opportunity to strengthen communication that had not been carried out in a more informal and family atmosphere.

"This meeting is a meeting of brotherhood that has not been able to be carried out. We gathered in a family atmosphere to welcome the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia and at the same time reflect on the coalition's journey during the almost two years of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government," said Sugiono.

A number of parties present include Gerindra, Golkar, PKB, Democrat, PAN, PKS, NasDem, PSI, PBB, Partai Gelora, Partai Garuda, and the Adil Makmur People's Party. Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the PPP apologized for not being able to attend the meeting.

According to Sugiono, the meeting of the party secretaries is part of political communication that continues to be maintained in order to escort the government of President Prabowo and the Red and White Cabinet.

He assessed that the momentum of the independence anniversary should be used to strengthen unity and the spirit of mutual cooperation. Independence, which was fought for by the founders of the nation, he said, must be filled with working together to solve various community problems.

Sugiono said President Prabowo's government continues to strive to solve various national issues, including those that have lasted for decades. Therefore, its resolution requires continuity of policy, consistency, and support from various elements of the nation.

"Various problems that we face today did not appear in a short time. There are problems that have been going on for decades. Therefore, improving it also requires time, continuity, and working together. Not all national problems can be solved in just one period of government," he said.

During the meeting, the party secretaries also exchanged views on the course of the Prabowo government and the challenges of future development. Sugiono emphasized the importance of constructive political support so that government policies can provide real benefits to the community.

"The government needs constructive support, as well as input and supervision. All of this is part of democratic life. The ultimate goal must remain the same, namely to bring prosperity and a better life for the Indonesian people," he said.

Sugiono hopes that communication between political party leaders can continue to be maintained so as to create a cool, mature, and community-oriented political atmosphere.

"We want to keep political communication open and the national atmosphere cool. Unity does not mean eliminating differences, but ensuring that each difference is placed within the framework of the interests of the nation and state," he said.

He added that the spirit of independence must be translated through real work by all elements of the nation. Political parties, said Sugiono, have a role to strengthen development while maintaining national unity.

"Celebrating Independence Day, we need to remember that Indonesia was built through unity, sacrifice, and mutual cooperation. It is this spirit that we must continue to care for to support the government and fight for the people's interests," concluded Sugiono.
