Apple Reshuffles Division Management App Store

JAKARTA Previously, there was only one division governing the App Store in Apple's company. Recently, however, the company changed its division by setting up two teams to focus on two things. The first team on the App Store will manage and oversee the App Store as usual, while other divisions will focus on the App Store in the European Union. This new division was built because App Store approaches in the region are very different. Currently, developers in the European Union can launch app stores on Apple-made devices because of the latest rules from the local government. European regulators require Apple to allow the presence of app stores other than App Stores on its devices. Apple must also allow sideload or download systems outside of app stores, such as in browsers, and allow payment transactions with third parties. This rule is very different from App Store systems in other countries so that Apple sets up new teams. So far, there are already several app stores that can be downloaded on iPhones, including Epic Games Store, AltStore PAL, Mobivention, and Aptoid. Apple may allow more alternative application stores in its devices in the European Union. Apart from making new teams in the App Store division, the division leaders have also undergone changes. "This has been in my mind for some time and because we are also reorganizing the team to better manage new challenges and opportunities, now is the right time to hand over batons," said Fischer. Reportedly, Apple Senior Director total Oliver will oversee the App Store division and Apple Product Director Ann Thai will be the head of the group that handles alternative distributions. These two officials will be directly supervised by the Head of the App Store, Phil total.
