Apple's First Folding IPhone May Be Launched In 2026

JAKARTA The news about the creation of the first foldable iPhone from Apple continues to circulate. This time, the latest news reveals that Apple will release its foldable device as early as 2026. Quoted from The Information, Apple is making foldable phones in horizontal or clamshell style. This phone is still in the early prototype development stage last February, but now Apple has set a design for its device. This foldable iPhone already has an internal nickname, namely V68, so Apple has set the idea and is entering the conceptual stage. This device is in the joint development stage of suppliers from its software. Other reports reveal that Apple is addressing the folding problem that appears whenever the phone opens. This fold should not be visible or prominent. In addition, Apple is working on a thinner device.

It seems that Apple's first foldable iPhone will look like a Galaxy Flip of dimensions not much different from the iPhone in general. Given that foldable phones aren't easy to make, there's a possibility that the device will just roll out in 2027. Meanwhile, reports emerged that Apple is not only developing foldable phones, but also folding tablets that can work like a MacBook. This unusual sound device may launch simultaneously with Apple's foldable phones. Although foldable tablet innovations have existed before, like the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Fold, this is the right move from Apple. The reason is, Apple's competitors like Samsung and Google have not yet launched a foldable tablet to date.
