JAKARTA - Online dating app Bumble is rolling out a new feature that allows users to report a person's profile, if the profile uses photos and videos created by artificial intelligence (AI).

Now, when reporting the profile, users will view and select the Fake profile option, then select the Using AI-generated photos or videos option.

This reporting option will appear among other options, which include inappropriate content, underage users, fraud, and the use of other people's photos, and so on.

"An important part in creating space to build meaningful connections is to eliminate any misleading or harmful elements," said Bumble vice president product Risa Stein, in a statement citing TechCrunch.

Bumble is also committed to continuing to improve their technology to ensure that Bumble is a safe and reliable dating environment.

"By introducing this new reporting option, we can better understand how criminals and fake profiles use AI dishonestly so that our community feels confident in making connections," he added.

This new reporting option comes after the launch of an AI Bumble tool called the Deception Detector, which allows the company to detect and remove false profiles, spammers, and fraudsters.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
