Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses Leading In The Market, Solos Becomes A New Competitor

JAKARTA - If you look for glasses that are able to record videos hands-free and have AI voice assistants, there are not many options available. Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses are a clear leader in the market. However, Solos, who currently only has smart glasses with audio features, says they will launch a version with cameras later this year. These glasses are equipped with the latest GPT-4o AI model from OpenAI that allows the camera to recognize objects and answer questions about what you see.

Solos AirGo Vision will also have a frame system that can be exchanged like other Solos glasses, so you can change the camera if you are in a place where the camera is not received socially, or if you just want a different look or some sunglasses. This additional number will be sold for between 89 and 129 US dollars (IDR 1.4 million - 2.1 million).

Vision will also have an LED notification to warn about incoming or email calls, the company said. They also claim that these glasses can also be integrated with Anthropic's Google Gemini and Claude's AI models. Like Ray-Ban Meta, they will answer questions via audio there is no other display than LED.

AirGo Vision doesn't have a specific price or release date yet, but it's likely to cost no more than $249.99, as Solos will charge that much for a pair of cameraless glasses this July. Ray-Ban is currently still starting the price from $299.
