JAKARTA - Nvidia announced that its newest generation artificial intelligence (AI) chip platform will be named Rubin and will be launched in 2026. This announcement was made by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang at the Computex event at Taiwan's National University, Taipei, on Sunday, June 2.
"The Rubin chip family will include a new graphics processor (GPU) and a new central processor (CPU), as well as a network chip," Huang said. However, Huang has not provided many further details about the product.

The new CPU processor will be named Versa, while the new graphics chips used to support AI apps will be equipped with next-generation high bandwidth memory manufactured by companies such as SK Hynix, Micron, and Samsung.
Huang also announced that Nvidia is now planning to release a new AI chip family every year, accelerating its previous release schedule which is about every two years.
By controlling about 80% of the AI chip market, Nvidia is in a unique position as the largest empowerr and main beneficiary of rapid AI developments.
