Google Pixel 9 Will Launch October 2024, Appearing With New Design

JAKARTA - New photos have leaked showing flagship phones, Google Pixel 9, from all angles and at the same time, price predictions for Google Pixel 8a also emerged.

The photos come from the Russian website, Rozetked (via Android Police). You can see how the rear camera bar becomes a rear camera island. The angle is rounder, and the sides are flatter, compared to what is seen in Google Pixel 8.

As usual with leaks, it is necessary to be careful in assessing the authenticity of this image, but the device displayed here is in accordance with the unofficial rendering that has previously been circulating on the web.

Although its slightly changed appearance may not be liked by everyone, it is still recognized as a Pixel phone, thanks to the wide camera island. The photo also looks like a USB-C port, a regular power button and volume, as well as a SIM trap slot at the bottom of the device.

Furthermore, there was a price leak for the Pixel 8a, which came from Passionate Geekz (and Notebookcheck). This is not a source that has often been heard before, so again consider this an unconfirmed rumor for now.

As it turns out, Canada's retail price list places a 128GB version of the Pixel 8a in 708.99 Canadian dollars (Rp 8.3 million), while the 256GB edition sells for 792.99 Canadian dollars (Rp 9.3 million), supporting previous rumors that these mid-range phones will go up in price this year.

Now, Google certainly won't use standard currency conversions for its global pricing, but for reference, the price is around $515 for cheaper variants and $575 for more expensive ones.

Google Pixel 7a was originally sold at a price of $499 /://449 / AU$749, and CA$599 in Canada, so a substantial enough price hike is likely to occur. We will likely see the Pixel 8a announced at the Google I/O 2024 event on May 14.
