Uphold And XPUNKS Present Special NFT For XRP Community

JAKARTA - Uphold, a digital financial platform that supports various crypto assets, including XRP, is collaborating with XPUNKS, the first NFT project on XRP Ledger, launching a limited edition NFT collection, namely XRP Army Badge NFTs. This collection is a form of appreciation and appreciation to members of the XRP community who have faithfully supported the crypto asset.

XRP Army Badge NFTs is a unique and non-exchangeable digital token, which represents the identity and pride of XRP holders. This collection consists of nine levels, from Private to General, which are determined based on the number of XRPs owned by participants on October 31, 2023.

How to Get This NFT?

To get this NFT, participants must register their XRP Ledger (XRPL) wallet address on the nft.onxrp.com website before January 26, 2024, at 23.59 UTC. Participants must also have a minimum balance of 20 XRP in their wallet to meet the network requirements.

After registering the wallet address, participants will get NFT according to the level they have achieved. This NFT will be sent to the participant's wallet within a maximum of eight weeks after the validation process is complete.

This NFT can be transferred, sold, or burned by the owner, depending on the settings set by the publisher. This NFT can also be displayed on various platforms supporting XLS-20 standards, such as UpHODL, Uphold's multichain billetera.

XRP Ledger as NFT Platform

XRP Ledger is a blockchain network that supports various types of assets, including fiat currency, crypto assets, and non-fungible tokens. In September 2022, XRP Ledger activated the NonFungibleTokens amendment, which added original support for NFT on the network.

With this amendment, developers and creators can create NFTs in XRP Ledger easily, quickly, and cost-effectively. NFTs in XRP Ledger follow XLS-20 standards, which allow unique, indistinguishable token creation, and cannot be used for payment.

One of the first NFT projects on XRP Ledger is XPUNKS, inspired by CryptoPunks, one of the most popular NFT collections on Ethereum. XPUNKS offers 10,000 unique algorithmically created characters, with a variety of attributes and ratings. XPUNKS also has a mitigating feature, which allows users to send confidential messages via NFT transactions.

Uphold and XPUNKS hope that this NFT initiative can raise awareness and interest in XRP Ledger as a reliable and environmentally friendly NFT platform. The UPhold also plans to launch new features related to NFT in the future.
