JAKARTA - PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) uses the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 as a stage to mark a new chapter in Mazda's journey in Indonesia. This step was taken a day after the company inaugurated the Mazda Indonesia Plant in Citeureup, West Java, which became Mazda's first assembly facility in the country and reaffirmed the Japanese brand's long-term investment.
Mazda's presence at GIIAS 2026 carries the theme "Driving the Future, Crafted with Purpose", which reflects the company's commitment to bringing innovation, strengthening the business ecosystem, and bringing Indonesian consumers closer. Chief Operating Officer of PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia, Ricky Thio, said this year is one of the most important moments for Mazda in Indonesia.
"This year is a very important momentum for Mazda in Indonesia. In just two days, we inaugurated the Mazda Indonesia Plant and presented three new models at GIIAS 2026. For us, these two steps are not just business achievements, but a manifestation of our confidence in the future of Indonesia, as well as a long-term commitment to continue to grow together with the Indonesian people. Mazda not only presents vehicles, but also experiences that enrich life through attractive design, human-centered technology, and Japanese craftsmanship," said Ricky Thio at ICE BSD, Thursday, July 29.
At this exhibition, Mazda presents three new models that each have a different character, but still carry the same philosophy. The three models illustrate Mazda's journey in strengthening the business foundation, reaffirming its commitment to Indonesia, and stepping into the era of electrification.
One of the models that has been in the spotlight is the third generation of The All-New Mazda CX-5, which is priced at Rp599 million. The global SUV comes with the latest evolution of KODO Design, a more spacious and comfortable cabin, while still maintaining the Jinba-Ittai philosophy that is Mazda's hallmark in delivering a precise and natural driving experience.
This model is also a symbol of the refinement of one of Mazda's products that has been the backbone of its sales for more than 15 years. Mazda also introduced The New Mazda CX-30 which is sold for IDR 499 million, which is Mazda's first model assembled in Indonesia.
This vehicle is produced using Mazda Global Manufacturing Standards so it is claimed to have the same quality and driving characteristics as Mazda models in the global market. Local assembly also makes the SUV offered at a more competitive price for Indonesian consumers. Finally, there is The All-New Mazda 6e Fastback which is sold for Rp. 850 million.
In addition to the launch of vehicles, Mazda presents a more comprehensive experience for visitors to GIIAS 2026. Occupying an area of 1,056 square meters in Hall 5 ICE BSD City, Mazda displays nine display vehicles and three test drive units so that visitors can experience the brand's signature driving character.
General Manager of Marketing & Communications PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia, Viya Arsawireja, said Mazda wants to provide a more comprehensive experience to visitors. Therefore, Mazda presents many treats, not only introducing new models.
"This year we want to present Mazda more fully. Not only through the vehicles we display, but also through every experience that visitors can feel at our booth. From artwork, collaboration with local creators, to every detail of the services we provide, all of them are designed to translate the theme "Driving the Future, Crafted with Purpose" into a real experience. Because for us, the relationship with customers is built through every interaction, not just when they have a Mazda," said Viya Arsawireja.
