JAKARTA According to Meta's promise at Connect 2022, Microsoft 365 support is finally present at their virtual reality (VR) headset. Now, three software from Microsoft can be used on the METa Quest.

First reported by Android central, Meta has added Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint access on their devices. In accordance with its function, users can write reports, edit readsheet dataspreadsheets, and prepare materials for presentations.

The VR Meta devices that can operate these three software are Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, the old and the new, and Meta Quest 3. All three can be downloaded for free at the Meta Quest store.

Although it seems sophisticated, there are several challenges from this access software. From The Verge report, the difficulty that users may experience is entering a password with a Touch Plus Quest 3 or a keyboard on the screen.

Typing passwords in these two ways will be very troublesome so that the alternative is to use the Bluetooth keyboard. Another challenge when accessing this three software is the appearance of icons and other elements.

Using Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint on Quest will be difficult for users who can't face a small icon display. Some elements also can't be used properly so Meta still has to improve access to these three software.

Previously, at the Connect 2022 event, Meta not only promised access to three basic software from Microsoft Office, but also Microsoft Outlook and Teams. Meta also said that it will provide an experience using Windows on Meta Quest.

Since last year, Meta has never revealed when plans for cooperation between Microsoft and its company will be realized into Quest. However, looking at the three software that has been added, access to Microsoft Outlook and Teams may follow in the near future.
