JAKARTA - In the midst of all hype about Starfield, Bethesda Game Studios provides updates on Next-Gen for Fallout 4, which will now be delayed.

Although planned for 2023, the company announced in X that the game's launch would be postponed until 2024, and said development said it needed a little more time.

Thank you for your experience with us as we work on the Fallout 4 next-gen update. We know you're excited, and so are we! But we need a bit more time and look forward to an excited return to the Commonwealth in 2024.

"Thank you for your patience with us as we work on the next 4 generation Fallout update. We know you are excited, and so are we! But we need more time and look forward to an interesting Commonwealth return in 2024," wrote Bethesda.

Announced in October 2022, Next-Gen Update is a free update for Xbox One and PS4 owners. This will add Performance and Quality Mode to prioritize high frame rates and 4K resolutions while playing on Xbox Series X/S and PS5.

However, Bethesda has not announced further details regarding this game. To be sure, PC players can also take advantage of these features.

The update also contains bug fixes and bonus Creation Club content. According to the leaked Microsoft document, which was discovered by GamingBolt, Fallout 4 has shipped 25 million units in 2020.
