JAKARTA - After suspending the X diplatform ad, previously Twitter, several large companies have focused on advertising on other applications. Reportedly, the platform they chose was Instagram.

According to Reuters reports, large companies such as WaltDiney and Comcast have increased their spending on advertising on Instagram. Reportedly, this ad is only focused on the United States.

Based on data shared by Sensor Tower, the app research institute Disney increased ad spending on Instagram by up to 40 percent, while Comcast was only 6 percent. Although Comcast spending isn't as much as Disney, this news remains a blow to X.

Meanwhile, Paramount has also increased their advertising spending on other platforms, but not on Instagram. The company is still advertising on Snapchat and decided to triple its ads.

The resignation of advertisers on platform X is not new news. Since last November, hundreds of advertisers consisting of trademarks and political candidates have suspended or even stopped their ads due to advertising issues.

All of these advertisers withdrew due to research by Media Matters for America (MMFA), a nonprofit organization, indicating that advertising from large companies was placed alongside antisemitism content supporting Nazi and Hitler.

As a result of this problem, advertising revenue on platform X fell to 2.5 billion US dollars (Rp38.8 trillion). This figure is much different from last year's advertising revenue, which reached 4.4 billion US dollars (Rp68.2 trillion).
