JAKARTA - Rockstar Games has finally officially announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be available on PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S system in 2025.
"Grand Theft Auto 6 continues our efforts to push the line from what might happen in a very immersive and story-based open-world experience," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games in an official broadcast, quoted Tuesday, December 5.
Houser says that Grand Theft Auto 6 will take players to the state of Leonida, home to Vice City's streets filled with neon lights and its surroundings in the evolution of the largest and most in-depth GTA series.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary in December, Rockstar Games pioneered the world's open video game genre with the launch of Grand Theft Auto III in 2001.

With every consecutive blockbuster entry in the series including Grand Theft: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto IV, GTA has been one of the properties with the biggest sales, most critically praised, and influential in all modern entertainment.
The company said that, the last title in this series, the Grand Theft Auto V, has sold more than 190 million units to date.
