JAKARTA - At the AWS re:Invent event, Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced that Axiata Group Berhad (Axiata), Asia's leading telecommunications and digital company headquartered in Malaysia, has chosen AWS as its main cloud provider.

With AWS, Axiata is committed to accelerating digital transformation in all levels of its companies to better serve its 174 million customers in Southeast Asia and South Asia.

Axiata will migrate a large number of its mission-critical applications to AWS until the end of 2024. In addition, the company will transfer 80 machine learning (ML) applications to the global leading cloud.

Through this collaboration, Axiata will use AWS technology, including data analytics, generating artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning to support data-based business decisions, adjust offerings to new markets, and develop new services to meet the growing needs of customers.

To provide flexible, scalable and easy-to-use ready-to-use solutions, AWS and Axiata Digital Labs (ADL) work together to present a series of Axonect products.

This offer is an open-standard-based toolset that helps telecommunications companies and companies to use AWS infrastructure, to modernize traditional business support systems, encourage innovation, and create digital experiences for customers.
