JAKARTA - YouTube plays an important role in expanding the UKM business. Google Indonesia's senior Product Marketing Manager, Olavina Harahap, said that YouTube continues to contribute to helping all creators on its platform.
This creator is expanded into five sectors, namely the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sector, education, creative industry, music, and media. According to YouTube's data, their contribution has so far shown good results.
Olavina said that 78 percent of SMEs agree that YouTube plays an important role in expanding their business. While in the education sector, 80 percent of parents agree that YouTube helps provide extensive access to information.
Unlike the creative industry sector, 81 percent of creators on YouTube are able to contribute in their region, such as widening job opportunities. Then, 83 percent of music companies agreed that YouTube was the best place to find potential artists.
Finally, 73 percent of companies in the field of communications or media agree that YouTube is helping them expand news reach, both nationally and abroad.
All of this data makes YouTube's enthusiasm even more boosted to improve their performance and contribution. Even Olavina said the positive impact of this contribution will continue until the next Impact Report.
"This is our second year launching an Impact Report, but our commitment will continue to help creators on YouTube continue to contribute and provide benefits to the community," Olavina said at a press briefing on Indonesia Grow 2022's YouTube Impact Report Watch., Thursday 26 October.
