JAKARTA - Last year, Meta started testing the Sharing to Reel feature on Instagram, which makes it easier for users to share video content directly to Instagram Reel from other applications including Smule, Videoleap, Reface, VivaVideo, SNOW, B612, VITA, and Zoomerang.
Now, Meta is announcing that Sharing to Reel on Instagram is already available to all app developers. Similar to Direct Post on TikTok, this feature comes to generate more content for the Meta platform.
"With the integration of Sharing to Reel on Instagram, people can easily share short videos from your app directly to Reel Instagram, so they can reach a wider audience and," Meta wrote in its announcement.
Once integrated, the third-party application mentioned earlier will have the Reels button, so people can share the video with just one tap.
After people share the video, they will have the ability to adapt it to Reel editing tools such as audio, stickers, effects, and more.

Meta claims that this feature can raise brand awareness, share content more comfortably, save time, and make it more accessible than ever before.
Moreover, the application content will also be seen through public recommendations on the Reel and Explore tabs, and will continue to gain momentum over time (compared to Stories, which are lost after 24 hours).
Sharing Smule videos on social media helps us gain a lot of traffic. To continue this momentum, we decided to combine Sharing to Reel on Facebook and Instagram into the app so that people can save time sharing their musical creations, and encourage others to try this app," Kevin aired, SVP, Global Artist and Industrial Relations in Smule said.
