JAKARTA - Nintendo has announced that wave 5 for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will soon launch on July 12, bringing in eight new tracks and returning as well as the addition of three classic characters into the game.
"The tire pump, Wave 5 is almost there! The character comes to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Eight additional courses and three Booster Course Passes are back on 12/07," Nintendo wrote in an announcement on Twitter.

The new content will be available to players who have purchased the Booster Course Pass for US$24.99 (Rp368 thousand). By purchasing this Booster Course Pass, you will provide access to a series of courses and characters released in batches 1 to 5, which have been released regularly throughout 2023, from March.
The content is also available free of charge for players who have Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.
Re- courses of Athens Dash (Mario Kart Tour), Daisy Cruiser (Mario Kart Double Dash), and Moonview Highway (Mario Kart Wii) are included in the badminton Cup Wave 5 championship, as well the Squeaky Clean Sprint track will be completely new.

The Wave 5 will also see the return of Total Piranha, Wggler, and Kamek as playable characters, who will replace them with other classic characters, including Birdo.
The courses and characters to be included in the upcoming sixth and final Course Pass DLC Booster have yet to be revealed, but are expected to be released sometime later in 2023.
