JAKARTA - Meta Platform Inc. CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently announced that the company is testing the Reels feature on Facebook and Instagram to its Meta Quest VR.
Reels was originally launched by Meta as a company solution to be able to compete with TikTok, over time, Meta then launched Reels to more of its platforms, including the latest on its VR headset.
"We're testing Reels on Quest -- look!" Zuckerberg said on his broadcast channel on Instagram, quoted Monday, June 12.
Along with its announcement, Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg also shared a 13-second video, which contains a demonstration about the Reels feature on the Meta Quest.
The video features Reels from the Austin Sprinz influencer Instagram account where he visits the deepest pool in the world.
This Reels update comes before the fall release of Meta Quest 3 and also the announcement of the launch of Apple's new MR Vision Pro headset. Both have very different prices, namely Quest 3 priced at US$499 (Rp7.4 million), while Vision Pro is US$3,499 (Rp52 million).
