The Indonesian National Team Becomes The General Champion For Esports Sports At The Cambodian SEA Games

JAKARTA - The esports sports match at the 2023 Cambodian SEA Games has been completed, with the PUBG Mobile Solo match as the closing match.

At the SEA Games this year, the Indonesian national team managed to dominate the game in every match number, by collecting three gold and two silver.

The three gold medals were awarded by the Valorant number, MLBB Women, and also the PUBG Mobile Team. Meanwhile, two silvers were donated by the PUBG Mobile Solo and Crossfire teams.

With the medals, the Indonesian national team won the overall champion for esports at the 2023 Cambodian SEA Games, and became the strongest team in Southeast Asia.

Almost all of the match numbers assigned by the Indonesian national team brought home medals. However, this year has been a bad year for the MLBB Men Indonesia team, where they have to go home in the Group Stage round.

Meanwhile, the host Cambodia is in second place with a total of three gold, one silver and one bronze medals. The Philippines in general had to settle for third place with two gold, one silver, and three bronze.

"This achievement is very proud. In the midst of increasingly fierce competition in Southeast Asia, Indonesia is once again still proving it as the strongest country in the region," said PBESI Secretary General Frengky Ong, in his official statement, citing ANTARA on Tuesday, May 16.

This achievement is also in line with the expectations of PBESI and the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) where esports sports can become overall champions at the Cambodian SEA Games this time
