JAKARTA - NVIDIA, a multinational technology company announced that NVIDIA GeForce NOW cloud gaming service will soon be available on Hyundai Motor Group, BYD and Polestar cars without the need for special equipment.

“We are excited to offer our customers the best in technology, convenience, design from BYD and now the latest in gaming through the high-performance NVIDIA GeForce NOW cloud gaming service,” said Stella Li, BYD Vice President and CEO of BYD America during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023.

Thanks to cloud technology and mobile internet that will be available later, vehicle passengers can avoid boredom by enjoying music, movies, and now they can also play video games in the car.

Both the driver or front seat passenger can access the game while parked or charging, while those in the backseat of a rear entertainment enabled vehicle can play any time on the road.

Hyundai Motor Group, which houses the Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis brands, has featured NVIDIA DRIVE in-vehicle infotainment across its lineup.  In March, BYD announced it would build NEV on the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform, starting in the first half of 2023.

Whereas Polestar also uses NVIDIA DRIVE for its software-defined architecture, with the upcoming Polestar 3 being powered by the NVIDIA DRIVE Orin system-on-a-chip.

With GeForce NOW, it will bring the full PC gaming experience to nearly any device, including laptops, mobile devices, smart TVs, and now, personal vehicles.

The GeForce NOW client for auto can run on Android or browser-based in-vehicle infotainment systems, providing an application for easily selecting and launching your favorite games.

Using breakthroughs in low-latency cloud streaming technology for real-time gameplay powered by GeForce servers in the cloud. GeForce NOW will feature more than 1.500 game titles.

More than 1.000 playable controllers, including The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and Cyberpunk 2077 games, from leading stores like Steam, Epic Games Store, EA Apps, Ubisoft, and GOG.com.
