JAKARTA – The streaming platform Twitch has finally recovered from its first major outage in 2023. During the incident, the streaming site only showed a blank page for the account or a notification appeared : "an error has occurred", which made some people look like the streamer  deleted their account.

This Twitch outage affects both desktop and mobile users, while iOS and Android users are seeing an "error loading followed channels" when opening the app. The search feature also doesn't allow Twitch mobile users to navigate to streamers.

It's not yet known exactly how many streamers have been disrupted due to the Twitch outage that occurred around the world. There have been no reports of losses caused by the outage of this platform.

The problem started around 1:10 p.m. ET, and Twitch marked the outage as resolved on its status page at 2:23 p.m. ET. During the incident, the company noted that outages “could manifest in chats not working, login difficulties, search interruptions, etc.”

Until now Twitch has not explained further reasons as to what could have caused the outage, when contacted by The Verge.
