JAKARTA - Mark Zuckerberg announced on Thursday, August 4 that Meta is expanding NFT support on Instagram to 100 other countries.

Prior to this expansion, NFT support was available in the United States only, and will now reach all users and businesses in Africa, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

Zuckerberg also said that now, Coinbase Wallet and Dapper Wallet are accepted as compatible third-party wallets to use.

Instagram's NFT support allows users to connect digital wallets, share NFTs, and automatically tag creators and collectors for attribution.

Users can share NFT on Instagram feeds, Stories, or in Direct Messages (DM).

"In honor of expanding NFT's digital collection to another 100 countries on Instagram and launching new integrations with Coinbase and Dapper," Zuckerberg wrote on Instagram.

NFT details will be displayed in a similar way to profiles and products tagged and named digital collections. Clicking on a tag will display details such as the name of the creator and owner.

To post-digital collections on Instagram, you must first connect your digital wallet to Instagram.

With the addition of these two digital wallets, starting today Instagram supports connections with third-party wallets including Rainbow, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, and Dapper Wallet.

While the blockchains that are supported include Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow.
