RELX International Presents RELX Academy To Create Young Indonesian Entrepreneurs

JAKARTA – RELX International cooperates with Komerce and Let's Play Indonesia to create the RELX Academy program, a forum to print young people into entrepreneurs.

The cooperation officially began on Thursday, July 14, 2022, with the signing of the MoU online on Thursday, 14 July.

According to Yudhistira Eka Saputra as General Manager of RELX Indonesia, RELX Academy will target 600 young people to become entrepreneurs.

"Later on, there will be practical training and education for young people, including digital skills, entrepreneurship, and general financial skills," explained Yudhi.

The program, which was previously implemented in the Philippines, is now officially present in Indonesia by cooperating with two organizations at once, namely Komerce and Let's Play Indonesia.

Komerce is a training organization from Purbalingga, Central Java, which regularly provides training for MSMEs so they can sell their products in the marketplace.

The training usually focuses on store decoration, customer service through chat features, ordering, and handling complaints to optimize features.

"The training is carried out so that MSMEs have trusted stores so they can win tough competition in the market," said Nofi Bayu Darmawan, CEO of Komerce.

Like Komerce, Let's Play Indonesia is also a training provider for MSMEs, young professionals, and youth in East Java and Bali who have been active since 2019. The uniqueness of Let's Play Indonesia is that it organizes offline and online game-based learning sessions.

"We believe that game-based learning is an effective tool for developing 21st century skills for young adults in Indonesia," said Arif Bawono Surya, Project Manager of Let's Play Indonesia.

According to him, the collaboration to create RELX Academy was held to sharpen the critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration of the younger generation. "These skills are essential for survival in a business environment," he continued.

In addition, this training can be attended by people starting from the age of 18 for free. RELX believes that collaboration with Komerce and Let's Play Indonesia will bring many positive impacts for local communities in Indonesia.
