Police Return DPO Bali Narcotics Case From Thailand

TANGERANG - The Directorate of Narcotics Crime, Bareskrim Polri, has repatriated a man with the initials RN from a foreign national (WNA) as a suspected controller of the clinical lab practice based in Badung Regency, Bali.

The alleged perpetrator of RN, who is a Ukrainian citizen, has been on the wanted list (DPO) since May 2024 and was arrested at U-Tapao Rayong Airport by the Thai state police when he was about to fly to Dubai on Thursday, December 19.

In the repatriation of the alleged perpetrator controlling this secret narcotics laboratory case, after traveling from Bangkok, Thailand with arrival through Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta), Tangerang, Banten at 18.30 WIB.

Dirtipid Narkoba Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa menyampaikan, RN ini diketahui sudah berada di Bangkok selama tiga setengah bulan.

"Getting this information, the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok immediately coordinated intensively with all stakeholders so that the perpetrators could be immediately returned to Indonesia," he explained at a press conference in Tangerang, Antara, Sunday, December 22.

After the handover was made from the Thai state security enforcement, the National Police immediately returned to Indonesia for legal proceedings in accordance with the applicable law.

"RN was finally successfully picked up and immediately handed over by Bangkok Immigration to the Police," he said.

He said that the RN controlling the clinicalestine lab was the main mastermind in the narcotics crime case. Where, he has a strategic role from the entire series of secret drug laboratories at a villa in the Tibubeneng area, Badung Regency, Bali.

"The perpetrator is the owner of the goods, who made a basement in the villa and as the financier and controller of the couriers that we previously secured," he said.

As a support for the process of disclosing this clinical lab case, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police will conduct further handling and investigation of the perpetrators of RN.

"Now we will take it to Bareskrim for further investigation," he said.

Previously, in May 2024, the Dittipid Narcotics Bareskrim Polri managed to secure three foreign nationals (WNA) who were involved in controlling a secret drug laboratory (clandestine lab) at a villa in the Tibubeneng area, Badung Regency, Bali.

The three foreigners made the villas they rented for 24 years and 8 months into the location of the clinicalestine for the cannabis hydroponic laboratory and the hydro-Indonesian network mephedrone.
