Ibai, A Spanish Twitch Streamer Breaks The Record For The Most Viewers

JAKARTA - A Twitch streamer from Spain, Ibai Llanos Garatea with his channel called Ibai, has broken a new record with 3.3 million Twitch viewers simultaneously.

Cited from Eurogamer, the record was set in the content creators' boxing event, La Velada Del Año II at the weekend.

The previous record holder was Spanish streamer TheGrefg with a total of 2.5 million simultaneous views.

Creator-led content and featuring other creators is not a new idea. However, Ibai's content seems to have caught the attention of many people.

Ibai is currently on the list of the top five Twitch streamers with the most followers. Ibai ranks fourth, the most followed channel on Twitch with 11.1 million followers.

Previously, Ibai became famous on Twitch for frequently commenting on esports. He has also interviewed a number of top Spanish footballers such as Gerard Piqué, Andrés Iniesta, Ronaldinho, Sergio Agüero, and Sergio Ramos.

La Velada Del Año II is Ibai's second event after the first, La Velada Del Año was held to gain 1.5 million concurrent viewers.
