After Winning The Trial Against India, Nova Arianto Knows More Weaknesses Of Indonesia U-17

Nova Arianto already knows the weaknesses of Indonesia U-17 (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The U-17 Indonesian national team coach, Nova Arianto, was happy to see his team successfully winning 3-1 against India U-17 in the test match. Even so, Nova admitted that these results also made him even more aware of the team's weaknesses.

The U-17 Indonesian national team met India on a trial agenda at the I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Sunday, August 25, 2024, WIB night. In that match, the Garuda Muda Squad won 3-1 thanks to goals from Evandra Florasta (pen 13'), Fandi Ahmad (50'), and Mierza Firjatullah (62'). India only returned one goal through Levis Zanminlun (52').

Nova Arianto said the match had gone well. However, he did not want to be happy and ensured that there was an evaluation that had to be done to improve.

"What is certain is that this match is quite good. From the results, we also still get evaluation material," Nova Arianto said in a statement after the match quoted on Monday, August 26, 2024.

Furthermore, according to Nova, this trial agenda was indeed used to see the progress of the squad that was conducting a training camp (TC) in Bali.

The coach assessed that the trial match was quite important as a benchmark for the strength of the U-17 Indonesian national team.

"The purpose of this trial is that I want to see the extent of the physical condition of the players, the problem of tactics, skills, and mentality," he said.

Despite winning, Nova explained that there are still a number of weaknesses that need to be improved by the U-17 Indonesian national team. However, he is optimistic that his team will be more resilient in the future.

"From this match, we increasingly know where the team's weaknesses are and become my evaluation material until this team will go to the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification," he said.

The Indonesia U-17 training camp was held to prepare to appear in the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification on 19-27 October 2024.

On that agenda, the U-17 Indonesian national team was in Group F with the hosts Kuwait, Australia, and North Mariana.
