Persis Wants To Take Many Lessons In The 2024 President's Cup To Look At Liga 1

Persis Solo will face Persija in the third race for the 2024 President's Cup (doc. President's Cup).

JAKARTA - Persis Solo will face Persija Jakarta in the fight for third place in the 2024 Presidential Cup at Manahan Stadium, Saturday, August 3, 2024.

Laskar Samber Life hopes to get the title of third place in the pre-season tournament.

However, it doesn't want to be the only destination. Persis coach, Milomir Seslija, actually saw that the 2024 Presidential Cup was right to take lessons to be better prepared to appear in Liga 1 2024/2025.

"This is a great experience for us. We arrived in the semifinals and still had a chance in third place."

"We hope this will make us stronger and better," said Milomir Seslija.

One of the lessons Milo meant was chemistry and coordination between players. He sees that these two aspects still need to be addressed before entering the competition.

In addition, the physical condition of all players has not yet reached its maximum, especially new foreign players. The Persis foreign assembly has not undergone heavy training, but immediately appeared in the 2024 Presidential Cup.

"We're still running too much, but it's not efficient. We have to work hard this season. We're going to do it," Milo said.

Milo's big goal is supported by his troops. One of them is Karim Rossi, who is a new foreign player in Persis.

He agrees that throughout the 2024 President's Cup his appearance has not been maximized. So, the pre-season tournament brings up evaluation materials so that it can be improved before Liga 1 for the new season.

"It's just pre-season, we will prepare ourselves again for the competition. Very happy to be playing in front of fans (in the 2024 Presidential Cup)."

"We will try to give them more in the next match (the battle for third place)," said Karim Rossi.

"I also certainly want to find the best position for me because it will help the team," he said.

So far, Rossi has been given the opportunity to appear four times in the 2024 President's Cup. However, the 30-year-old striker has not performed fully in all matches because his physique has not yet reached the peak.

Then, Milo is also still trying Rossi in various positions to bring out his best abilities. The striker was recorded twice as a winger.

Milo also did the same thing to a number of other players throughout pre-season. So, when entering Liga 1 2024/2025, the coach was able to find the best position of his team which certainly affected the team's performance.
